The island extends one mile further out than its closest neighboring town, which earned it the reputation of being “Cooler by a Mile.” Known for its beautiful white sand beaches, tall dunes and clean warm Atlantic Ocean water, it is the perfect place to unwind and enjoy a restful and relaxing vacation.
The Beachcomber Resort, located at 79th & Dune in Avalon, sits right in the middle of the island where the two communities meet. With everything so close by, The Beachcomber offers its guests the best of both worlds.

The first of two 1-bedroom suite options, these condos feature a King or Queen bed in the private bedroom, a kitchenette, living space and bathroom. Many of our one bedroom rooms have stone fireplaces, and all feature stovetops, fridges, dining tables and we have options on all three floors of the property.
